Meet our fourth grade teacher, Karen Romero. Ms. Romero has quite the background as a student. She has her associates degree in criminology, her bachelors in psychology and education, and she also has a masters degree in Reading Education. Ms. Romero has three terrific children (Clayton, Amanda, and Nathan) and a 15 year old cat named Fuzzy.
"I teach because that is what I am called to do. I tried for years to avoid the call to teach. I changed my major when I first went to college from education to psychology because I was to fearful of speaking in public. But as we all know we can't run from what God wants us to do. I am so glad I listened to his call because now I get to share God's love with children everyday. There is no greater joy than seeing so many smiling happy faces everyday. It is such a joy."
"Children need to feel loved, accepted, and valued before they can learn. In class I believe in learning through experience and interaction as well as quiet work time."

"Christmas - Our family is very close and we do so many things together during the entire month of December. My sister comes to visit from New Zealand. We shop, look at lights, visit other family members, and just spend time together. It is a great time to reconnect with everyone."
"Okay, well I don't want to sound to sappy or anything but two things. First, working here at GAA has been the best gift ever. It keeps me close to God. And the second best gift was my Surface Pro because my computer had just died around Thanksgiving time and behind my back, my children went to their dad (We are divorced) and told him they did not want presents from him or their grandma that year for Christmas. Instead they wanted the money so they could get me a new computer! It was so amazing of the to do."

"I went to Glenview from first grade until 7th grade. My Great-Great Uncle was the first media camera man to go into Berlin after it was bombed."
